Trudi Toews, a charter member of the Kootenay Robusters passed away in Kelowna on January 6th, 2018, just a few days short of her 70th birthday. Diagnosed with lung cancer, just after her retirement, Trudi continued on, taking part in festivals, enjoying life and doing everything she could to fight the disease. We will miss her cheerful presence, great sense of humor and ability to fix anything or invent a way to handle it. She was the heart and soul of the team.
