On Saturday, May 14, the Kootenay Robusters Dragon
Boat Team met at Schullis’ Resort on Christina Lake to launch their boat for
the season. Gord Hanson backed the forty-foot dragon boat into the lake with a
group of paddlers on board to manouevre it back to the dock. Paddling practices
will be scheduled three times a week for the balance of the season as the team
prepares for the Seniors’ Games in Nelson and other festivals. New recruits are still welcome to
