The Kootenay Robusters Dragon Boat Team took part in two festivals this season.  In Kelowna the team paddled well and finished with a silver medal in the Platinum B division.  Two weeks later, in the larger Penticton Festival they got bronze medals in the Bronze division with the help of a guest steers person.  In both festivals, members also took part in the carnation ceremonies held at dragon boat festivals to draw attention to the prevention of breast cancer, and the fact that dragon boating has become a passion for so many breast cancer survivors.
