The Relay for Life has been replaced this year by an event that emphasizes healthy activities like walking and running. This year's Daffodil Dash raised over $30,000 and beat the financial target set for the new event. The Kootenay Robusters walked and ran in the mist, drizzle and downpour - completing either 5 and 10 km. loops, while enjoying the encouragement of members of the public and other participants. As always, we took part in the "Survivors' Lap" and demonstrated that healthy living after cancer or other bumps in the road of life is not only possible, but worth celebrating. Our congratulations to the organizers of the event and all those who got on board and became actively involved.
